Welcome to the IAR!
The IAR is a collection of meta data by the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) in an effort to bring transparency and enablement to data shared across Duke; while providing our customers and partners with insight in to where their data is sourced from, how it's being used, and what other information is leverageable.
The main purpose of this data curation is to ensure that data are reliably retrievable for future research purposes, quality improvement, or other reuse. This also helps to improve the consistency of data-based answers across the organization.
The repository continues to grow and evolve through the inclusion of additional ACE efforts and collaboration with other departments throughout Duke. The IAR is central to Duke Health's data curation program as we provide visibility to data experts, data lineage, and an enterprise data dictionary, all working to clarify the origin, accuracy, and appropriate use of many widely-used data elements.
